Thunder Bay Field Naturalists Club (TBFNC) applauds the additions to the various protected areas under the Provincial Parks and Conservation Act, 2006, "Expanded Protected Areas in Ontario" proposal.
We draw your attention to a further area needing Protection: Black Bay Peninsula in Thunder Bay District.
In cooperation with Ontario Nature we produced a natural history values pamphlet on the area of the peninsula not currently under Conservation Reserve protection, primarily the southern half of the peninsula.
We particularly note the addition of the Far About Peninsula protection in the proposal and hope you can proceed with a similar effort for Black Bay Peninsula in the near future.
