Repealing action on climate change without another plan in place is criminal negligence for our children’s future. I find it abhorrent how flippantly this conservative government is treating the most important and critical issue of our time. Man made climate change requires immediate and decisive action spurred by government regulation. We cannot allow the “Market” and capitalism to set the pace for our transition away from fossil fuels. The scientific consensus on this is overwhelming and certain. To ignore the evidence and continue to not act is unforgivably selfish. I expect better from our elected representatives. You don’t just represent conservatives, you have a duty to everyone and their children to protect their future. I implore you to take this responsibility as seriously and enact appropriate legislation that is in line with the scientific recommendations of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
