I am in favour of this proposal since I feel that preventing a hunter from purchasing a licence for failing to report was too harsh. However, I also feel that ministry needs make a greater effort to insure that all hunters have access to reminders and reporting methods. Many hunters in the Ontario do not have good access to the internet and therefore do not receive the email reminders and have difficulty filing the reports on line. You need to insure those hunters receive the reminders either by phone, or mail and that they are also able to send in the reports by phone or mail. I realize that reports can be sent in through a service Ontario location , but in the north the service Ontario offices are some times few and far between. Before we start penalizing hunters for not reporting we have to insure that there are no barriers to the reporting process.
