To Whom it may concern.

I am a 4th generation moose hunter in Ontario, and my sons are now 5th generation. We use our time in the hunting camp for more than just hunting. It's stories and history and staying connected in a meaningful way that is very unique for those who do go hunting.

We have a camp that sleeps 16 hunters. Our camp ( in zone 61 ) is considered by many to be a good "moose camp" in that we see many moose in all hunting seasons, and in skidoo seasons as well.

The last 2 years, we were un-successful in the initial phase of tag drawing. but were lucky enough to have a calf drawn in the 2nd draw. So we had a reason to go hunting. It would be heartbreaking for us, if we ever blanked and missed the chance to go.

I would like you to consider a "Guaranteed Adult Tag" when a group of 10 ( or an appropriate number of your choosing ) apply together. These groups - you will find are Historic Hunter groups who have been together for decades. - And now, because the points system came into effect, with hunters drawing tags for years, not knowing the point system was coming, most of us have low points, because we had no reason to NOT accept the tag.....

It is in our best interest that the ministry maintains a watch over the wildlife in our province. We know this. But on the flip side of that it is in our personal BEST INTEREST - that the province allows us to then enjoy this sport which we love - and continues to be a strong part of our identity.

It's not a small deal. It is a very big deal***
