I fully agree with sections 2 and 3 of the process. I disagree with losing points by not accepting a tag on the 2nd draw, first choice with the addition of the 3rd process.

As we hunt in a group setting, we try to maintain points for future years and thus would accept the tag with the lower points. We hunt WMU 3. Typically needs 5 points plus in first draw for a bull tag, and as little as 4 in the second draw. This year our guy with 5 wasn't successful in first draw, so we entered him and another guy with 4 points for a bull tag. Had the guy with 4 drawn, we would've accepted that tag, and kept the other for the primary draw next year (much easier to plan vacation) and not accepted the one that took 5. With the proposed change with the 3rd process, that tag would be used, so I disagree with the loss of points.

I appreciate all that is being done and encourage more for proper moose management so please continue to look into further policy (Such as forestry, substance hunting, spraying etc) to help bring moose back to historic and target levels.
