I've been able to follow most of this government's policies, but this one is completely backwards. Bike lanes get people off the roads. My partner and I came from midtown Toronto, where, thanks to the installation of bikes lanes, we hardly needed to drive our car, and hardly did.

Now that we're in North York, the roads are too dangerous for biking so people are speeding on the sidewalks. I've been hit by an electric bike on the sidewalk.

The community is thrilled with the construction of bike lanes. We can't wait to stop driving our car for trips under 5km.

Do what you want with the gridlock on the highways. Please stay out of our cities. Incentivize transit and bike lanes if you really care about traffic. That's how world class cities function.
