I do not understand why these proposals are being put forward when the scientific research regarding bike lanes suggests that they reduce congestion rather than increase it.
How are our tax dollars being put towards putting more cars on the road at this point? It makes 0 sense to me in any capacity given the state of the world.
Toronto should be a city where people can comfortably get around without prioritizing cars any more than they already have been for ages.
