This bill does nothing to reduce gridlock as has been shown with countless studies on the effects on bike infrastructure on streets in urban centres.

Bike lanes are a critical element towards our overarching goal of reducing car dependence and as a result, overall traffic congestion, and have a direct impact in reducing carbon emissions and fighting climate change.

By introducing more red tape to the process of installing new bike lanes, the Ontario PC party has shown it has no interest in the needs of its people and has no intention to slow climate change.

I do not support this bill and strongly disagree with the Premiers position intending to remove bike lanes which were recently constructed in Toronto.
