I live on Summerhill Gdns, one of the streets that is only accessible from Yonge Street. For most of each week there is gridlock on the section of Yonge between Crescent Road and St Clair.
I do walk a lot and use the subway but when I need my car getting to my home and leaving my home it is a nightmare on Yonge Street. The addition of bike lanes, plus parking and outdoor dinning has turned this section of Yonge into a parking lot. To make the situation worse the large number of condos being planned for the area will make the closure of lanes from time to time a necessity.
I know like many other residents I worry about response times for Emergency services.
