The people of Ontario--and Canada--care about climate change action, regardless of party affiliation. As a conservative voter, I support climate change action and I support carbon pricing. Cap and trade works, and it has been working. Keep it.
The province of Ontario has historically demonstrated committed leadership and ingenuity on climate change action. Cancelling cap and trade is a massive fiscal mistake, and a massive missed economic opportunity. We need a government that can look past the next election, beyond it's own political fortunes.
The policy decisions that are made now are pivotal and will be looked at as such 5, 10, 20 years from now.
