In an age of global climate change, it is extremely short sighted to introduce new red tape powers to allow provincial decision makers to undermine municipal city planning and design efforts to provide and prioritize safe, alternative modes of transportation like cycling.

We need a clear eyed vision for Ontario as a 21st century province, not leadership and anti-progressive initiatives like this designed to promote a 1920s vision for the province even though we are in the 2020s.

Please stop wasting taxpayer money undoing progress and condemning us to an unsustainable car-obsessed culture.
