A complete no brainer to anyone with a brain. Removing the bike lanes will result in more cars on the road, more congestion, and more fatalities. It’s incredible this waste of money endeavour is even up for debate. If you’ve ever ridden a bike in the city, you know how efficient and, just as importantly, fun an experience it is. This has only been more true with the addition of new bike lanes, which allows people to feel safe while taking part in an economical, environmentally friendly mode of transportation. More often than not biking is a faster way to get around that the city than any other mode of transportation. If you haven’t cycled around the city, maybe actually give it a try before tearing up the one actual positive development this city has had in a decade.
