DO NOT REMOVE the bike lanes on Bloor, University and Yonge St!! Yes, suburbanites have a longer commute if they come in by car but that is not downtown's fault - that is urban sprawl.
If you take out the bike lanes and a biker gets hurt - the province will get sued! You made it more dangerous for workers, parents and children!!
I drive too and I find that the bike lanes have actually made the commute easier since now we have left turn lanes.
Please listen to urban planners not your developer cronies.
Did you see that Paris just made its central core car free? Guess who can still drive there - bicycles....
