I am opposed to removal of any existing bike lanes, and in favour of creation of new lanes despite the need to remove lanes to create them.
If the government proceeds to remove or otherwise restrict bike lanes, I will vote against them in the next election.
Increasing access to cars and restricting safe bike lanes will increase cyclist injury and mortality, contribute to overall car traffic congestion, make air pollution worse, and contribute to correlating health issues and health care costs.
