It's nonsense to put cyclists in danger in a city where people drive looking at their phones, change lanes without looking or signaling and overall have a poor sense of judgement. I drive through the city and removing bike lanes will just have the same outcome for me which is bumper to bumper traffic. It's a huge waste of finances and resources to add an additional lane which people will be sitting in regardless. Cyclists already have little or no options to transit across the city safely.
