The province has no role in overstepping municipal jurisdiction. This is an anti-democratic and harmful policy choice that is not based on evidence but purely on politics. Removing bike lanes from these major roads will increase cycling deaths and is very unsafe. The people of Toronto have voted in for more and better bike lanes and the province cannot just come in without data, evidence, or public support to undo this. This is authoritarian.
