Bikes do not cause gridlock. Bike infrastructure does not cause gridlock.
These are documented facts supported by tonnes of research that this government is of course aware of but pretend do not exist.

This proposal calls for more highways and more car traffic instead of improving transportation. This is environmentally as well as fiscally irresponsible. The only thing it does is to give more money into the pockets of government-friendly contractors while pretending this actually helps tax-paying citizens.

Improve public transportation. Improve cycling infrastructure. It costs less than this ridiculous obsession with suburban sprawl connected only by car, and actually solves the 'getting people where they want faster' problem.
