Bill 212 is based on a flawed assumption that with more lanes there will be less traffic. Which in fact study after study suggests literal the opposite is true, as this will encourage more cars in our street. The provincial government should be focusing on investing in public transit and bike lane infrastructure to encourage people off the roads and prioritize pedestrian and cyclists safety.
