I use bike lanes in my city, and it is my main transportation, and despite following rules in bike lanes, cars are overly aggressive to people in our area, and I see this decision going backwards. We have had three deaths in the last month for vehicle-person because we need infrastructure.

The provincial government shouldn't be adding red tape to what should be a right to safe transportation and in return slowing down a resolution to safe transportation options.

I use bike lanes every day and year round to get to work, buy my groceries, and consider them essential infrastructure (and also sidewalks)

We need to think about guaranteeing safety for the people who choose not to drive, and vulnerable road users, including wheelchair users, instead of maximizing the amount of cars on the road, we need diversity.

If I were driving (and I do-so I can see both perspectives), I would rather a cyclist have their own bike lane out of the way.

Bike lanes support transit because they make it easier to get to train station stops and bus stops.

Take a look at how functional the Netherlands are, they have figured out proper traffic calming
