This is dangerous, and will endanger road users. It will not solve the congestion problem — the govt should consider other measures, including increased public transit service / support. It is also an irresponsible use of taxpayer dollars.
Toronto, in particular, has potential to be a world class city. This will put it behind other comparable cities — in Canada and beyond.
