Removal of bike lanes on…

Removal of bike lanes on Bloor St, Yonge and University Ave will not alleviate traffic congestion. It will cost taxpayers $48 million in unnecessary spending, and endanger the lives of the city's most vulnerable road users. Cars are the primary cause of traffic congestion, not bikes or bike lanes. The city of Toronto, as one of North America's great cities, should be following the lead of other major cities, and investing more in cycling infrastructure, not working to undo the progress that has already been made. Think about if it were you or a loved one cycling to work. Wouldn't you want them to be safe from cars while riding on the road?
