This legislation is foolish, backwards-minded, NOT SUPPORTED BY ANY QUALITATIVE RESEARCH, and will ultimately lead to INCREASED traffic, the less efficient movement of people, and the increased injury and death of those who ride their bikes in Toronto for work, leisure, commutes, and everything in between. This is an attempt by the Province to strong arm its most hated municipality in nothing more than a culture war based on the Premier’s shortsighted personal interests and grudges. If you truly served the people of this Province, you would rescind this entire Bill and get your hands out of municipal decision making. Your actions as our government are reprehensible and indefensible by any data-driven metric.
