I am a concerned Ontario…

Commentaire

I am a concerned Ontario resident and Canadian citizen and outraged at the carelessness of this Bill.
- Ontario does not need billons of spent dollars on a highway to nowhere when our deficit is through the roof and getting worse. We need more mass transit solutions.
- Ontario does not need more wildlife and farmland destruction. Keep environmental assessments for all projects.
- Do not diminish land rights from landowners
- Leave city urban designs and traffic management to the cities, where decisions should be made by experts and data driven decisions
- We need a government that supports making decisions that are based in evidence and not perpetuate lies (i.e. 1.2% of Toronto residents biking to work is a 32 year old statistic)

I feel quite embarrassed and sad for the policy designers who have to write bad policy, based on emotion, hatred and jealousy - all in order to distract the voters from the real problems (i.e. the province inability to actually get people moving by investing in regional transportation solutions, and not being able to actually get a project completed in time or in budget!

Everybody knows that in general drivers are getting out of control and are being increasingly reckless on our streets and highways, and getting slaps on the wrists when accidents happen. Deaths and injuries are on the rise. This perpetuates this trend while wasting taxpayers money on solutions that do not work. I wish the provincial government would open their eyes on how other world-class cities are handling such issues.

Mister Sarkaria, you live in Brampton, arguably the worst city in Ontario for traffic injuries, deaths, street racing, congestion and needless sprawl. You know deep down these solutions do not work.

Mister Ford, show that you care about your constituents and cancel this Bill.
