Being able to bike safely…

Being able to bike safely around the city is one of the top factors of my quality of life in Toronto. Biking safely helps me stay happy, healthy, and efficient. Efficient because it means I can get to meetings and appointments more quickly than any other mode of transportation. It also means my environmental impact is lower than if I were I stuck in traffic in a vehicle. It also means I save money, which helps afford life in this crazy expensive city.

If anything we need many more protected bike lanes, not less. I have heard of too many bike deaths, which breaks my heart and makes me nervous biking on many streets without protected bike lanes.

A safe biking network helps create a more liveable, sustainable, and happy city. It will help attract more people to move here and will help get more cars off the roads.
