I’m curious to know how the province justifies the expense of removing RECENTLY COMPLETED bike lanes and their rationale for limiting alternative modes of transportation in Toronto. These bike lanes have proven to be safe and effective transportation paths across the city and are widely used by Toronto’s increasingly bike-dependent population. I find it difficult to believe that by prioritizing cars they have the best interests of Torontonions at heart. Studies have shown that bike lanes do not increase traffic over the long term, so I cannot see a logical reason for them to be removed.
