Please don’t remove bike…

Please don’t remove bike lanes. They keep people safe (ie. reduce deaths). Their removal will do nothing to increase car traffic. Car traffic is getting worse largely because there are too many cars, not because of bike lanes. I feel like this is something that your government already knows, but you’re trying to use a wedge issue to divide the public and win an unnecessary election. Please don’t sacrifice the safety of people and progress for your electoral chances.

It’s also telling that your government says they respect municipalities, yet they will but in for tearing up bike lanes but will then do nothing for forcing all municipalities to open up zoning for multiplexes to province wide.

Do the right thing and back down from this. Nothing good will come from this legislation — you’ll just have wasted time, millions of taxpayer dollars, and the safety of the public.
