This developer is trying to sidestep the city procedure and not for the betterment of the community. I strongly urge you to refuse their request. There is no reason other than the desire for lack of accountability as to why they would not proceed through the city for this development.

Our community is and has always been underserved and now developers are trying to move community members out of the way so we can't negotiate and share in the development of our neighbourhood.

This is absolutely shameful. Our city councillor is awful, too, and you know that when she finally opposes something a developer wants, it's got to be dire.
