The placement of the dump is not appropriate or safe for the residents of Dresden. The fact that the Provincial Government is letting down Dresden and the entire Chatham-Kent community, to destroy our lands and waters is completely unacceptable. The Dump's proximity to the Town and waterways and sheds make it an extremely dangerous proposition that will completely destroy the more than 2700 people that live in Dresden proper as well as the safety of our surrounding communities!

The Ontario Government withheld the information about the change in type of Environmental Assessment that is required, in a corruptful manner, after the Provincial elections took place. Doug Ford did this on purpose, to get re-elected and that is morally wrong.

The idea of standing up a Dump literally right down the road for me, drives alevel of anxiety that I haven't experienced in my 40 plus years on this Earth. If the Ontario Government allows this operation to move forward, the Government will be responsible for inciting health and environmental problems on the residents of Dresden as well as the surrounding communities. Dresden will see the most impact with generations suffering because of the Greed and lack of planning by the Ontario Government. Our children's lives will not only be in jeopardy from the cancer causing chemicals that will be seeping into our water supplies and polluting our air, we will have to worry daily about children being run over by the massive amount of traffic that will now be flowing through our streets. Our roadways will be destroyed by the heavy weight of the Trucks carrying tonnes of waste to the dump.

The worst part is, the Ontario Government is framing this up as though they have no other choice, due to the environment that Trump is creating. Give me a Break, Ontario. You can do much better than this! You should not be intentionally harming a community, it's people, it's river and its land, for absolutely no reason. It is completely irresponsible of the Ontario Government to even entertain this request. The Citizens of Dresden are united in saying We Don't Want The Dump! We don't want the generations of Cancer that the Ontario Government is trying to purposely inflict on the residents of Dresden. We don't want our air to be polluted, like it is on the 401 outside of London, with the smell of decaying drywall and other cancer causing agents. We don't want our treasured Sydenham River, home of some unique and endangered species, polluted by the Dump, because the Ontario Government doesn't care that the Dump is on top of a major water shed and the fact of the matter is it will 100% be polluted, if the Dump is allowed to move forward.

It isn't right, fair or just that the Province can just say we don't care about you Dresden, we will purposely cause you, your children and your children's children to get Cancer because Trump is President in the United States. You are willing to throw an entire community under Trash, for some corrupt corporation who seels their company back to themselves to kill the residents of Dresden. Shame on you, Doug Ford and the Government of Ontario. We will all remember this for the upcoming election. It is the Conservatives that are doing this and I for one, will make sure that everyone I talk to knows how much this party DOESN'T CARE. They don't care about Canadians, the certainly don't care about killing children and they would rather put a Dump by a town rather than where it would make sense. Ontario has many areas where there are no towns or villages or rivers right next to it! Stand up a Dump where it makes sense, not by water and people.
