I strongly oppose reducing environmental protections for species at risk and significant ecosystems. Ontario is full of beautiful wilderness that deserves to be protected and has inherant value. Its economic value is not relevant in a time of climate change, increased natural disasters, and mass extinctions. Not to mention the disregard for Indigenous peoples' rights as the original inhabitants of Ontario and Canada. We have already lost too much nature to human greed. It would be shameful to contribute to environmental loss.
