I understand why there is a push to reconsider some of the current elements of the ESA. However, I strongly urge you to consult with biologists before making these changes. Many of these will set us back so many years, which, in the climate crisis we are currently facing, we just don't have.
Please reconsider this. As a lifelong Ontario citizen, this is the most disappointed I have ever been in my government.
