These proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act will cause species to do extinct. This is a disgusting abdication of responsibility by our government. When species go extinct or are extirpated they cannot be returned and are gone forever. Future generations will suffer the consequences of a lack of biodiversity when they are stuck living in the industrial hellscape that Doug Ford wants to create. Businesses are driven by profit it is the governments job to restrain them when they cause harm to the public realm. This legislation will allow corporations to destroy the little habitat remaining in Southern Ontario and lead to vast swathes of destruction in Northern Ontario.
