There is so much wrong with bottling water!
• Ecosystems, agriculture, municipalities that are growing year by year must be a priority over corporate water bottling which is harmful to the environment and unnecessary.
• Groundwater should be considered part of freshwater systems that are intricately connected to other freshwater systems like rivers, lakes, and stream and aquifers need protection. They are not there for the taking or private revenue.
• We need meaningful policy on groundwater so that there is still some left for future generations.
• We still don’t know what the full impacts of climate change will be or how mushrooming urbanization will impact aquifers. One year does not give enough time to figure this out. I urge you to proceed cautiously with conservation in mind.

Why would any government give permission to a company to bottle and sell it back to us? That’s irresponsible to future generations, to the environment, to us today.
