As an Ontario resident, I strongly oppose Bill 5. I want better environmental protections and the protection of endangered species; providing shortcuts for industry is a path to destruction. The idea of creating special economic zones that override the law will lead to abuses and a complete lack of accountability. This Bill only benefits a small number of soulless developers, is a threat to First Nations treaties and rights, and would ultimately harm the health and well being of Ontario citizens, not to mention be a bloodbath for our endangered species.
