I am urging you to require a full Environmental Assessment for this proposed project, especially given its impact on prime agricultural land.

Our farmland is some of the best in the province—productive, fertile, and essential to Ontario’s food supply. Once it’s paved over, it’s gone for good. This proposal appears to cater to outside interests, likely from GTA-based companies, with little regard for the long-term impacts on our local economy, food security, or rural way of life.

This kind of development threatens more than the landscape—it threatens the future of family farms and the sustainability of agriculture in our region. We shouldn't be trading irreplaceable farmland for short-term industrial gain.

Ontario needs to prioritize the protection of farmland, not sacrifice it to sprawl. Please do the right thing and mandate an Environmental Assessment before this goes any further.
