Another disappointing…

Another disappointing proposal by the provincial government to bypass environmental regulations. Ideally policy would focus on reducing waste in general so that more landfills would not be needed. In the meantime, the environmental assessments are necessary for accountability and ensuring that proper environmental stewardship is performed. Landfill projects need to do better instead of having the government bend over for them. The excuse of tariffs is also flimsy and a distraction for bad policy.
