In response to York 1 proposal to expanding the landfill at the Dresden location without any regards to the well being of the residence of our community is criminal in my opinion! It has been pointed out by many for concerns regarding noise polution, pollution of our Sydenham watershed, and potential for foul methane smell.
Another personal concern is the devaluation of personal property! I am 70 years old and a large part of our long term finances is the value of our home. In another 10 years or hopefully longer my wife and I will face the difficult decision to sell our home to move into some type of assisted living. The value oof our home when that time arrives will help pay for our final years. I doubt that with a mega dump within a half mile away the value of our home it will be worth a fraction of it's actual value.
Shame on York 1 and our Conservitave government.
