Simple! How is this going to operate safely and efficiently when our roads can’t handle the truck traffic? Children wait for school buses on the side of the road, we have no emergency services, to handle a crisis,! We have tomato wagons being pulled by slow-moving tractors for three months of the year! Where are contaminants like asbestos, lead paint, varnish, contaminants from soil, toxic glues etc going to be stored!? That property floods every spring! It drains into Molly’s Creek and eventually The Great Lakes! Why do we need a landfill here? Easy! It is cheap. near the border and rural areas do not matter as much as Toronto! Damn the small-town people and their stupid environmental cries! City businesses have lots of money and can control government decisions! Shame on them, but they have no shame! What happens in three years when Trump is gone? Who cares? The landfill will be up and running! Our community will be in ruins but York 1 will have lots and lots of money! The site was last used as a gun range! It doesn’t even have the right approvals, for a construction waste! What is happening? We can read and comprehend perfectly well! We can even read between the lines! This is our last chance to voice our point of view! Please listen to us and consider the facts! Profit vs human suffering!
