Well I see a newspaper…

Well I see a newspaper article saying the Ontario government issued a statement saying ‘ The York1 waste project, LOCATED JUST OUTSIDE OF DRESDEN, is the landfill that can mobilize the QUICKEST to increase internal waste management capacity….’. Premier Ford and his ministers are just looking for a quick means to an end without ANY consideration for the land and people’s lives they are destroying. They are correct…it is JUST outside Dresden… 800 metres to be exact….and to have THOUSANDS OF TONNES OF GARBAGE DAILY coming to this DORMANT incinerator ash landfill site DAILY by 700 TRUCKS is ludicrous and malicious. The Ford government claims In their statement that ‘the people of Ontario….want a government that will do whatever it takes to protect Ontario’. Well Mr. Premier….WE are the people of Ontario too. You claim you are ‘Protecting Ontario’ but it is at our expense!! You may say you are protecting Ontario by allowing the EA to be removed from the requirement of York1so things will move faster. BUT YOU ARE NOT PROTECTING ONTARIO…YOU ARE TRYING TO TAKE THE FAST TRACK TO GET THIS SMALL DORMANT LANDFILL opened and operating quickly without the due process that we, the people of Dresden ONTARIO deserve. The EA process SHOULD NOT BE DROPPED FROM YORK1’s VENTURE.
When I see how many Americans have been bullied by their politicians in the last few months, I cannot help to feel that we are being treated the very same way.
