This is a terrible and wrong way to approach conservation. Not only will this cause immense damage to the environment but it will put other species - flora and fauna - at great risk. The current Endangered Species Act exists for a reason and has been beneficial to protecting the species of Ontario.

As a former biology student and a science teacher, I believe this is unconscionable assault on our wildlife population. This consequences of changes to the to act will not benefit everyone and only create a lot of harm on our land. Prioritizing the development of land for housing is not the right way to think about our future. Loss of important wildlife is not something we can reverse once the damage is done.

Please reconsider this proposal and keep the current Endangered Species Act, 2007.
