This proposal appears to be stripping protections for both flora and fauna in favour of unchecked development. Current structures remain vacant and misused. If current developments were maximized for all citizens — not just upper-class citizens — there wouldn't be a need to develop protected lands.

This proposal seems to be in line with the way President Trump is defunding and reallocating National Park, Forest, and reservation land for private development. This had major backlash in the States. Ontarians will not stand for a capital-first view on our environment.
