My families cabin is on Winnetka lake Rd. and I have been going to Engineers lake and Winnetka lake for over 40 years.

I am vehemently opposed to the proposed application 60-C-239886.

I feel the severance application is incompatible with neighbouring uses of our community. There is an established trail that runs parallel to Winnetka lake road and the trail access point begins and goes through the proposed new lot. This expansion of property would see that established trail taken over and turned into private property. This is a frequently used trail for our community and the proposed severance would disrupt established land use patterns.
Here is a link to a Google Map of the established trail system. The pink trail is the trail that goes through the proposed severance application 60-C-239886. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1wR6LCzg1IGTDrrfI1BRqoF2I4hSac8Q… or https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1wR6LCzg1IGTDrrfI1BRqoF2I4hSac…

I feel that there is inadequate access to support new lots. The road access to the ‘Winnetka Lake Resort Limited’ (Township of Forgie) goes through the front yards of other lots, and I fear that the an expansion of this property would lead to an unsafe increase of traffic on the road.

I also have environmental concerns for this area. New lots and cabins would be disruptive to the natural beauty of the area and an increase in road traffic and boat activity could be harmful to the environmentally sensitive land.

I have always been grateful for the land that my family cabin is on. We respect the land and are thankful and completely satisfied with what we have. I have no ‘great ambition’ to take over more land and disrupt the surrounding area. I find it disturbing that the proponent would be so greedy as to propose such an expansion. They have a beautiful property the way it is, and they should be grateful and enjoy it as it is.
