These companies have had years to make a plan and failed to do so. Why would we do this?

Recycling is already dismal, we need to work towards less waste and this amendment will do the opposite. These companies have so much money and instead we are going to allow them to pollute the planet because they say it's too expensive.

Burning garbage will create worse air quality for those who live around it and will impact the health of the people. This just places the burden on everyday people to deal with garbage - the companies who make the waste should be forced to consider what happens to it at it's end of life.

Please stop putting the environment on the back burner and using the economy as an excuse. These issues are of equal importance. You cannot have an economy without a clean environment. We cannot afford more delays on action.
