What a sneaky, Slimy way of doing business. The consulting firm that came around 3 weeks after the permit was applied for.. acted as if he knew nothing of the proposal. What a disgrace. I have been in areas that have had water permits changed. They have resulted in wells drying up.. farmers losing businesses.. property values plummeting etc... Who will buy my house if my well dries up? Who will adequately compensate for any issues. How long will litigation take and who will pay for it. Taking an increased rate of water 24 hours a day can only result on one thing. Less water for everyone within a kilometer or more. Now it is but a few days before comments are accepted... Why our Municipality has allowed this is appalling. The consultant pushed the fact that the Pit was a community based company that wanted to work with the community and help... O.M.G. ... what a way to backdoor the community. Totally disgusted.
