To whom it may concern. Re Jamesville housing redevelopment.

This back and forth with CN and the developer/city has had more than enough time to be resolved. Years of wasted time. Our news papers and City do not provide enough information for us residents to know which side of the bargaining groups in the disagreement are holding things up or being unreasonable. Ie. city/developer or CN…and residents are skeptical of both sides having seen the city fail with barton tiffany.. But the process has clearly dragged on way too long. The current team at the table have failed to get this done. We need the province to step in and make the decision and get this approved because we do need the affordable housing in Hamilton and we do need all the other market rate housing that is proposed as part of this development.

The minister should evaluate the situation fairly and make a binding decision to move the project forward. Then we will see if the city /developer can actually get the project built or if all the delay was just a ruse to avoid building a project that looked good 10 years ago but now not so much. Time will tell.
