As a resident in the North End of Hamilton it has been incredibly frustrating seeing this site lay vacant while right beside it there are hundreds of individuals living in tents. This site has also quickly become a site for vandalism, waste disposal, and trespassing - making many people, particularly smaller individuals and women - feel incredibly unsafe walking nearby. Our community deserves better, we deserve revitalization in our neighbourhood (which this development will bring), we deserve action, and the people of Hamilton deserve more supportive housing.
