I am a long time resident of Hamilton's ward 2 who currently lives next to an active rail line. I was deeply disappointed the City's initial decision to demolish the subsidized housing development at Jamesville, and have been subsequently disappointed by CN Rail's decision to delay the reconstruction of the development. It goes without saying that Hamilton (particularly the city center) is desperately in need of subsidized housing. It is ludracris for a private company to delay much needed infrastructure because of the possibility of future litigation.
