I highly condemn this proposal and ask that it be stopped. This open season proposal needs to be researched further and should not continue forward as it is written. We need more information and further proof of the cormorant's supposedly negative impact on our ecosystem. Hunting is not a solution and would only create more problems. I have lived on the Ottawa River for over 25 years and I have not witnessed any dramatic increase in their populations in this area nor witnessed any negative impact on fishing numbers.
