Again vital ecosystems and parkland are on the chopping block in favour of development. Parks bring in lots of money, lots of tourists and are critical to habitat protection. Protecting all natural elements, but in particular threatened species, should not be an after thought. It should not be seen as getting in the way of "making money". Tourists go to Wasaga because of the nature - the beaches - not for concrete and shops. Don't destroy the actual beauty out of short-sighted greed. Developers always win in this province at everyone else's expense.

Ecosystems exist in a delicate balance where every part plays a vital role. You cannot remove one part without causing damage. You remove one critical element and the entire ecosystem collapses. Please start to look at restoring nature and protecting what little we have left as the actual driver of economic value that it is. Wasaga Beach is jammed all summer. Let's not pretend more tourists are what's needed. Greed should not drive destruction. We need more parks and restoration projects not less. It is disturbing how little this government cares for nature, clean air, clean land and clean water. There is little to no effort made to protect any of what this government claims is beautiful in Ontario. I don't think anyone looks at a block of concrete and says "wow - now that is beautiful". Without parks and nature there isn't much beauty in Ontario. After the flu pandemic, New York got Central Park. After Covid Ontario got thousands of trees cut down, the greenbelt sold, farmlands taken for a highway and now another park is on the chopping block. We got the reverse of New York - less nature to enjoy.
