The removal of land from a Provincial Park and transfer to a Municipality for economic/tourism development
purposes sets a dangerous precedent for other Provincial Parks.
Municipal control will not guarantee continued environmental protection nor use for
the benefit of public green open space.
Once transferred such areas could become industrial parks and private estate properties.
This begs the question of who will really benefit and at what cost.

With the increase in population and dwindling green spaces due to development and continued
deregulation of environmental protection Acts, such a transfer is contrary to the
need for more protected public green open spaces within Natural Heritage areas.

Reconsider this Short Sighted vision for economic gain as detrimental and prevent
the loss of the Natural Heritage places we cherish.
