This is an abhorrent step. Selling off public land will make the province less able to respond to climate change as it release the provinces ability to safeguard these important riparian zones, that are critical for human and ecological health. Privatizing land is NOT the answer. Look to the States for horrific examples of what happens when areas along the water are mismanaged and released to private development. The province needs to maintain control over these important zones, which they cannot do if privatized.
